Pleasant Reason Overlin was a commercial fisherman. He fished a lot in Humphreys County, Mississippi. He retired before he died in Jan 05, 1946. When my uncle James Thomas Bingle needed help he and my Aunt Sadie held out welcome arms to his 11 children and him in 1933 after his wife Pinkie F. Bingle and A. J. Bingle died in 1933 in Jefferson County, Texas. I can just see all the children staying with them and their own children. It must have been a blessing in disguise for all the children and my Aunt Sadie and both of my uncles being together until my uncle James Thomas Bingle and his crew left to go to Modesto, Stanislaus County, California.
