An obituary in the Windsor Gazette - 28 Jan 1954 - stated that she was commonly known as Grandma Jones and was born in Effingham county, 15 May 1868, d/o of Pastor T. M. and Martha Griffith. She married John Harrison Jones, 5 Oct 1886 and to this union were born seven children. He died 25 Mar 1904. One daughter, Nellie, also had preceded in death. Surviving were children: Edgar, Tom and Bertha of Windsor; Walter and Mrs. Forest [Florence] Anderson of Shelbyville, Ernest of Omaha, NE, plus sisters, Mrs. Florence Sargent of Decatur and Mrs. Viola Jackson of Windsor. Also surviving were 17 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
