Mrs. J. Horsens Died at Shawano Monday Morning

Mrs. James Horsens, 55, died at Shawano, Monday a.m. just as she was being prepared for examination before an operation. Cause of death was Embolism.

Mrs. Horsens, the former Annett Madsen was born at Angelica, March 9, 1889 and spent her childhood days there. On June 1, 1906 she was married to O.O. Lotten at Quarry, Manitowoc county and lived on a farm there until the death of Mr. Lotten, May 1, 1927. In 1928 she moved to Gillett to make her home with her mother, and May 30, 1935 she was married to James Horsens. They lived on Mr. Horsens' farm until two months ago when they rented their farm to their children, Vivian and James Horsens and they moved to Pulcifer two months ago.

Survivors are her husband, James Horsens, Pulcifer; one daughter, Mrs. Warren Platt, Detroit, Mich., three sons, T/S. Maynard Lotten, missing in action somewhere over Germany, T/S. Ollin Lotten, somewhere in England, and Corp. John Lotten who is home on a furlough from Charleston, S.C. and 5 grand-children, 6 sisters, Mrs. M.K. Dallad, Hettinger, N.C.; Mrs. Herman Hardtke, Saratoga, Calif.; Mrs. Hewitt Platten, Mobridge, S.D.; Mrs. Walter Kohloff, Wauwatosa; Mrs. Walter Elke, Campbell, Calif.; Mrs. Leland Richy, Miles City, Montana; one brother, Martin Madsen, Sheboygan, four step children, Mrs. Walter Schreiber, Pittsfield, Wis.; Mrs. Arnold Schmidt, Green Bay; and Vivian and James jr., on the farm in the town of Green Valley.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at her home in Pulcifer and at 1:30 at the Green Valley Lutheran church with the Rev. Axel Blom officiating. Burial will be at Valders.

The Kuehl funeral home is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
