City Resident Dies; Rites are Slated.
James Monroe Peake, 54, route 4, box 526, a resident of Oklahoma City the past year, died Sunday night in Mercy hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Street & Draper funeral chapel, with burial in Sunny Lane cemetery. Peake was born June 25, 1900 in Cloudcroft, N.M. and had worked as a hotel chef in California. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Carrie Peake, of the home; six brothers, Robert Lee and Herbert Peake of Houston, Texas; Frank Peake route 11, Oklahoma City; Joseph and Henry Peake both of 6800 NE 23rd Okla City, and John Peake, Stateville, Ark.; and three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Heinz and Mrs. Frances Watson, both of Houston, Texas and Mrs. Mary Kiesewetter, route 4, Oklahoma City.
