Ewing Maurice Cline was the youngest child of Cullen Ewing and Annie E. Cline. He died in Salem, OR, where his father was a circuit-riding Methodist Episcopal minister. The cause of death was diphtheria. He was first buried in Lee Mission cemetery, but was later moved to the family plot at Lone Fir cemetery in Portland.
