Funeral for Eleanor Ray Prince, 78, of Hartselle will be Friday, October 1, 2010, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Ammons officiating. Burial will be in Hartselle Memory Gardens. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs Prince, who died Tuesday, September 28, 2010, at her residence, was born November 16, 1931, in Morgan County to Bill Slaten and Ruby Lawrence Slaten. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Roosevelt Prince; two brothers, Russell and Donald Slaten, and her twin sister, Fay Fite.
Survivors include her son, Bobby Ray Prince (Dr Joe Openshaw); three daughters, Edna Whitman (Larry), Mary Kyker (Jerry) and Lisa Hatfield; stepdaughter, Annie Ruth Fowler; three brothers, Raymond Slaten, Frank Slaten and Joe Slaten; five sisters, Violet Blackburn, Betty Watson, Ruth Baldwin, Lucille Crume and Shirley Rabens; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.
