Mr. McEachern was born in Louisville, Alabama and graduated
from Howard College, now Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. He had lived in Macon for the past 60 years and was the former owner of Washburn Moving and Storage. Mr. McEachern was a member of the First Baptist Church, where he was a former deacon and a member of the Seekers Sunday School Class. He was past president and lieutenant governor of the Kiwanis Club of Macon; served on of the Advisory Board of the Macon Rescue Mission; past president of the Macon Touchdown Club, member of the Friends of the Library, and was past president of the Movers and Warehousersman Association. He was the son of the late William H. and Nancy Walker McEachern.
Mr. McEachern is survived by his wife, Mary Clarke
McEachern of Macon; daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Carl Capps of Macon; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Debbie McEachern of Macon; three grandchildren, Clay Capps, Matthew Capps and Whitley McEachern; several nieces and nephews
