Chester-Sept. 28-James Edward Varnadore, 64, well known farmer of the Peden Bridge Road, died today at his home. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 Saturday afternoon from the Woodward Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Mr. Varnadore was a native of Fairfield County, being born June 22, 1887, son of the late Henry and Nancy Gibson Varnadore. He was a member of the Woodward Baptist church. Mr. Varnadore is survived by his widow, the former Miss Cora McKeown; two sons, Thomas E. of the home and Henry L. of Chester; two daughters, Mrs. Hafner Cornwell and Mrs. Howe Gregory, both of Leeds; a number of grandchildren; three brothers, Thomas and Robert C., both of Blackstock, and Curtis of Chester Rt.2 and two sisters, Mrs. T. Clark of Chester and Mrs. Thomas Smith at Concord, NC.
