Deceased Name: The Rev. Dewey O. Miller
86, of 3916 Irvington Dr. died Jan. 30, 1992, at Presbyterian Hospital. Funeral is 11 a.m. Monday at United Wesleyan Church, where he was a member. Burial will be in Sharon Memorial Park. Visitation is 3 to 5 p.m. today at McEwen Funeral Home, Charlotte chapel.

The Rev. Miller, an Easley, S.C., native, was ordained into the Wesleyan ministry in 1936. He pastored more than 10 churches in North Carolina and Virginia, and served many years as a general evangelist. He attended Central
(S.C.) Wesleyan College and Biltmore College of Asheville (now UNC-Asheville).

Survivors are his wife, Gipsie; son, Donald Miller of Lancaster, S.C.; brother, Wayman Miller of Duncan, S.C.; two half brothers, John Miller of Lake Junaluska, Jack Miller; half sister, Mrs. Mary Bruce of Connelly Springs; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
