Mrs. Len Keeling Buried Dec. 16 At Evans Chapel
The grandmother of Dr. Emil Carroll, Mrs. Gertrude Omelia Keeling, 79, died December 15 at her home in the Evans Chapel community. Mrs. Keeling was born in Mississippi but had lived in the Evans Chapel community for 76 years. She and her husband, Len Keeling, had been married for more than 50 years.
Mrs. Keeling is survived by her husband; three sons, R. T. Keeling of Leona and W. D. and A. S. Keeling of Centerville; one daughter, Mrs. Claud Parks of Velasco; one sister, Mrs. A. G. Hamby of Flynn; one brother, E. A. Shepherd of Corpus Christi; thirteen grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a. m. Dec. 16, at the Evans Chapel Methodist Church of which she was a member. Rev. Robert Hillingcamp of Flynn and Rev. J. F. Wallace of Centerville officiated at the services. Burial was in the Evans Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Riddle Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were her grandsons, Dr. Emil Carroll, Bobby, Terry, Kenneth and Lynn Keeling and Larry Parks
