JOHANNES FRIEDRICH SCHRAMM

Death Friday in Manitowoc Rapids of John Schramm, a veteran of the Civil War
who settled in Rapids at war's end and had lived there ever since. During the
war he served with the 58th New York Infantry Regiment and participated in all
of its battles. He is survived by a widow and several children. His funeral
was held Monday from the local Lutheran church.
