Dolly A. Spear 79, Plattsburg, died Saturday, September 11, 2010, at a local health care facility.
Born on June 6, 1931, in Plattsburg to Walter and Mary Catherine (Johnson) Harper, Dolly was a graduate of Plattsburg High School.
She was a member of the St. Ann's Catholic Church where she served on the Altar Society. Dolly was a homemaker and a member of the bowling league.
On April 20, 1949, she married Raymond Spear who preceded her in death on November 6, 2009. Her parents, her daughter, Kathy Spear, and brother, Bill Harper, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include her brother, Charlie (Betty) Harper of Plattsburg, and several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 15, at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Ann's Catholic Church, Plattsburg. The family will receive friends at Bailey & Cox Family Funeral Service, Plattsburg, on Tuesday where Rosary will begin at 6 p.m. with the visitation following until 8 p.m. Mrs. Spear will be cremated following the service; inurnment will be at a later date.
