William Elmer Bloomfield, 78, of Danville, died 12:36 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010, at Provena USMC.
He was born Dec. 22, 1931 in Muncie to Henry Elmer and Marguerite Brown Bloomfield. He had been married to Patricia Fegett and Carol Rudd. They both preceded him in death. He was also preceded by his parents; sisters, Mary Young and Lulabell White and a grandson, Robert Joseph Bloomfield.
Survivors include a companion, Susie Swider; three sons, Ricky Bloomfield, Steve (Linda) Bloomfield and Billy (Machelle) Bloomfield; a daughter, Diana (Allen) Swisher; a brother, James Bloomfield; five sisters, Norma (Charles) Arnett, Anna (Robert) Cundiff, Patricia Rudd, Betty (Billy) Atwood and LaVerne Gill; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
