His daughter Maria, died twelve weeks ago.

Ernst Leubner, an old and highly respected resident of this city, died
yesterday morning, aged 81. Mr. Leubner was born in the Kingdom of Saxony,
emigrated to this country in 1849, at first making his home in Indiana,
where he remained until 1851, when he removed to this city. Upon his arrival
here he engaged in the drug business, which he carried on until a few years
ago. Sociable and as a business man he maintained a reputation for honesty
and integrity and his death will be regretted by many.

Mr. E. Leubner, one of our oldest settlers, died on Wednesday morning, aged
81 years. He was formerly one of our prominent druggists, but sold out about
two years ago, since which time he has been an invalid. About three months
ago his daughter died, which proved a severe loss to the old gentleman. The
funeral took place Friday afternoon.
