Willis Dowd-son of Wyllys Dowd was a teacher and close associate of his brother, Charles Dowd of Saratoga Spr, NY. Both Charles and Willis became ordained in Presbyterian Church. Wyllys was Pastor for many years in Rye,NY. Willis authored a book "Henry Doude and his Descendants"- a well documented genealogy of the Doude/Doud/Dowd family from Kent England to its time of publication in the mid 1880's.
