Isaac Thomas McGOWAN, son of John McGOWAN (1798-1851) and Catherine KNOTT (1811-1888); born 25 April 1844, Sadsbury, Lancaster Co., PA; died 07 March 1927, Christiana, Lancaster Co., PA; buried at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery, Steelville, Chester Co., PA.

He married first to Laura A. HARRAR (1845-1882) about 1867; they had at least three children per census: Daniel, Angus, and Lizette.

He married secondly to Eva L. HAINES (1861-1930) about 1887; they had at least two children per census: Bessie C. and Mercy.
