Hays -- Arthur E. "Art" Budig, 48, Hays, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 1995, at the Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City. Mr. Budig was born April 18, 1947, at Hays.

He was a truck driver for the Ellis County highway department and a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Hays.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette of the home; three sons, Rodney, Wesley and Arthur R., all of Hays; two stepdaughters, Mary Lewis and Melissa O'Reagan, both of Tucson, Ariz.; his parents, Arthur A. and Viola Budig of Woodward, Okla.; five brothers, Jack of Hill City, Vernon of Glen Elder, Doug of Zurich, Bob of Woodward and David of Liberal; three sisters, Sharon Arnhold of Woodward, Janice Budig of Oklahoma City and Kathy Braly of Gage, Okla.; a granddaughter; and three step grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Hays, the Rev. Carl Kramer officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays. Memorials may be made to Capuchin Province of Mid America. A vigil will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Hays Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today, from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday and after 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, 20th and Pine, Hays 67601.
