Mr. Mooney was a lifelong resident of Kanawha County.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth; five sons, Walter Jr., Carl and Jackie, of Olcott, Randell with the army in Bermuda, and Howard of Cincinnati, 0H.; one daughter, Mrs. Bessie Crauthers of Ashford; his father, William of Huntington; one brother, Arnold of South Charleston; two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Griffith and Mrs. Bessie Ellis, both of South Charleston,and five grandchildren.
The body is at Curry Funeral Home at Alum Creek.
