William Warner was Glenn (Pop) Warner's father. William was a son of Samuel Warner and Mary Sanders Warner. He came to the Town of Concord from Collins in 1867 where he engaged in farming until 1881 when he removed to the Village of Springville.His maternal grandfather, Joseph Sanders, was a soldier in the War of 1812. William entered the Army as a Private on 20 July1861, was promoted to Captain, Co.F, 4th Regiment, Arkansas Cavalry, in 1864; mustered out of the service 1 July 1865. Elected three times as Supervisor of the Town of Concord.
