He was born June 14, 1920, in Alexandria. He lived in Alexandria before moving to Fort Myers Beach, Fla., in 1953, and moved back to Alexandria in 2005.
Albert served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a firefighter in Fort Myers Beach, Fla., from 1953-1985 and is a lifetime member.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alexandria. He is survived by his wife, Mary Catherine (Cleaver) Bradford, whom he married Feb. 3, 2007; children, Charles Bradford of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., James Bradford (Tammy) of Fort Myers Beach, Fla., Mike Bradford (Becky) of Phoenix, Ariz., Patricia Perkins (Dennis) of Fort Myers, Fla., and Edward Bradford (Sharri) of Bonita Springs, Fla.; sisters, Martha L. Lohmann, Pat Vogel and Janett Rastatter; brother, Robert Bradford; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Ellen (Stevens) Bradford; and siblings, Bill Bradford, Alma Bradford, Shirley Bradford and Mary Helen (Bradford) Flecker.
