Aaron's father is named George W. Mendenhall BUT NOT THE GEORGE WHO IS LISTED ON Aaron's Memorial Page. Aaron's father was George W. Mendenhall - b. 20 April 1841 at Wooster, Wayne County, Ohio. He died in Knoxville, Marion County, Iowa on 31 March 1919. FIND A GRAVE # is: 135342486 He was a Civil War Union soldier with the Missouri Infantry, Company I 21st Regiment. The George Washington Mendenhall (1838-1905) who is CURRENTLY listed as the father of Aaron was a resident of Oskaloosa, Mahaska County, Iowa, married Miriam Mott, and had a family of his own. He also was a Civil War Union soldier for the state of Iowa. He and his wife are buried in the Marshalltown Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Marshall County, Iowa.

If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact me. I would like to list information for George W. Mendenhall of Mahaska County but I don't want to add anything until the Marion County Mendenhalls are in the correct family unit. Thank you Connie Ellis
