Mrs. Harrison Cowan
Waynesville - Mrs. Eva Gribble Cowan, 85, of 417 Camp Branch Road, died Thursday in a Waynesville hospital after a period of declining health.
A native of Jackson County, she was a daughter of the late William and Nancy Dietz Gribble.
Surviving are the husband, Harrison P. Cowan; six daughters, Mrs. Connie Muse, Mrs. Albert Muse and, Mrs. Ruth Swanger of Waynesville, Mrs. Daniel Eckles of Venus, Florida, Mrs. Lola Rickman of Clyde and Mrs. Charles Hartsell of Hampton, Virginia; two sons, William Cowan of Asheville and Harrison P. Cowan Jr. of Winston-Salem; 21 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Garrett Funeral Home is in charge.
