LAKE ALFRED - First Sgt. Kenny Allen Fike, 55, of Lake Alfred, FL went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 24, 2010 at the Good Shepherd Hospice Residence Center in Auburndale due to cancer.

Born Feb. 9, 1955 in Camden, Arkansas he moved to Winter Haven in 1962. He was First Sergeant for HHB 2-116th FA Florida National Guard in Lakeland, had 31 years of service and served in Panama, Honduras, Afghanistan and recently in Kuwait as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was also a member of the Heartland community Church in Winter Haven.

Preceded in death by his father, Ellis Fike; he is survived by: his wife of 34 years, Janet; a daughter, Jodie Poling of Winter Haven; 3 sons, John Fike of Auburndale, Trevor Fike of Lake Alfred and his honorary son Jack Sanders of Ocoee; his mother, Angela Fike of Auburndale; 2 brothers, Carless Fike and Steve Fike, both of Auburndale; and six grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm till 8:00pm, Monday, Sept. 27, 2010 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd. Winter Haven. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park with Military Honors.
