Friend Long Minor, aged 82, for many years a resident of Garards Fort, but who had lived at Carmichaels the past eight years, died at his home in Carmichaels at 7:50 p.m. Saturday following a one-week illness from a complication of diseases. He was a retired farmer and stock raiser.
A son of the late Samuel and Louisa Long Minor, he was born and reared at Garards Fort, and was a member of the John Corbly Memorial Baptist Church for 50 years. He was married February 12, 1882 to Belle Woods at Carmichaels by the Rev. Mr. Anley.
