Formerly of Merwin Ave. Rochester NY on Sept. 24, 2010 at age 103. in Springfield, MO. Predeceased by his wife, Eleanor. Survived by his sons, James (Romy) of Springfield, MO, & John (Kathy) of Bonita Springs, FL; grandchildren, Dan (Jolle Kirpensteijn) of Utrecht, NL, Steven (Lisa) of Springfield, MO, Scott (Michele) of Bemis Point, NY & David (Rachel) of Rochester, NY; great grandchildren Zachary & Brooke Lynn of Springfield, MO; nephews, Chester (Shirley) Jones of Thompsonville, MI & Robert Jones of Rochester, NY; several grandnieces & nephews. Born in Wilmington, DE, he moved to Rochester at age 18 and began work at the Consolidated Machine Tool Co., which later became the Farrel Corp., where he worked for over 45 years, retiring in 1968 as Chief Design Engineer. He loved classical music, especially the violin, an instrument he played for over 80 years. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He leaves us with many special memories and his smile and love of family will remain with us always.
