Jean L. Kaporis, nee Mazarakos , beloved wife of the late James J. Kaporis and the late George Johanos; devoted daughter of the late Lazaros and Maria Mazarakos. Dear sister of George L. (the late Margaret) Mazarakos and the late Diamonto (the late Peter) Chrones, Helen (Nick) Koclanis and Evelyn (the late Herbert) Hurst; fond aunt of Diane Jupp, Linda (Richard) Kerby, Marie (George) McKay, Sandra Hurst, George (Virginia) Hurst and their families. Jean was a past President of Annunciation Cathedral Ladies Philoptochos and served in many capacities at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church. Jean was also supportive of St. George Greek Orthodox Church. Visitation Monday, October 4, 2010, from 4 to 9 p.m. at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, Chicago. Family and friends met Tuesday morning, October 5, 2010, at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Chicago, for visitation from 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Interment Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Annunciation Cathedral Building Fund would be appreciated. Arrangements by JOHN G. ADINAMIS FUNERAL DIRECTOR, LTD.
