Son of Edmond Valentine and Martha Robidoux of St. Joseph, MO, a city founded by his grandfather, Joseph Robidoux III (see Find a Grave memorial # 38783287). Ben married Edith Van Aernam in Omaha in 1887. During their marriage the couple, who had no children, resided in Omaha, Winnetka, IL, and St. Joseph, MO. Ben was in the lumber business and after his retirement he and Edith returned to Omaha where they lived at the Flat Iron Hotel.
