During the 1900 census Elbert Blackwood reported his birth as having been in April of 1852, not 1853 as reflected on his grave stone. His brother Issac Anderson was born in July of 1853.
Gravesite Details
Comer's Cemetery is on old Avondale Mills (1897-2006) property, an enterprise of ex-governor Braxton Bragg Comer (1848-1927) and presided over by three generations of the Comer family. The cemetery is now privately owned.
