Besides widow, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Phyllis Stephens and Mrs. Helen Bess of Norfolk and Mrs. Julia Bouvier, of Springfield, Mass.; four sons, Floyd John Beem II, USMC, Joseph W. Beem and Jerry Dawson Beem of Zephyr Hills, Fla. and William David Beem of Springfield; a brother, Carl Beem of Iowa; and six grandchildren.
Mr. Beem was a native of Swan, Iowa and was a former resident of Norfolk. He served 20 years in the Navy and was a member of Fleet Reserve Unit 240 in Largo, Fla.
A funeral service will be held in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Wednesday at 3 p.m. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
