BERTHA CARUS

Bertha Carus, daughter of Fred Carus Sr., died at her father's home in this city, Thursday, May 8, aged 17 years and 7 months. She was a beautiful young lady much loved by her companions. The flowers which cover her grave in such profusion will wither, but the memory of her goodness will never fade from the hearts of her friends.

CARUS, MRS, JR.

Death in Antigo of Mrs. Carus, Jr. of Manitowoc.
(No name or date)
Der Nord Westen, 28 Apr. 1887
*******
DIED.
At 1:40 p.m., on the 27th inst., Margaret Carus, wife of Fred Carus, of
diphtheria. Aged 20 years.
Mrs. Carus' vitality had been greatly reduced in the past two months, from
the task of taking care of her husband in his late sickness, and when this
dreadful disease (at any time) took hold of her she was not in condition to
combat it. She leaves a husband and one infant child.
--Antigo Republican.
Mr. Carus is now in the city looking very ill and is receiving the
condolence
of scores of friends who have known him from childhood. If the sympathy of
friends could lighten such grief as his, his burden would not be heavy.
