Elwood - Lonnie D. Brannen, 28, Marion, died early Sunday morning May 6, 1979 at Wabash County Hospital.
Brannen died from a shotgun wound to the stomach which he received during a fight at a campgroubd a mile east of Liberty Mills, IN.
He was born in Marion and was a self-employed contractor.
Survivors - include his mother Mary, Elwood; seven brothers, Tom, James, and Kenneth, all of Marion, Wayne, and Jerry of Elwood, William, Augusta, GA., and Robert, Fort Benjamin, GA.; four sisters, Mrs. Rebecca Carter, Mrs. Carol Wyrick, and Mrs. Mary Stickler, all of Marion, and Mrs. Dorthy Martin, Elwood.
Services will be 1 p.m. today at the Jackley - Landrum Funeral Home, Elwood with Rev. Deane Seitz in charge. Burial will be in Elwood City Cemetery.
