Victoria L. Banko, 96, of Wyoming, passed away Monday, October 4, 2010, at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born September 17, 1914, in West Wyoming, she is a daughter of the late Charles and Nellie Buyonski.
Victoria was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, West Wyoming.
She was preceded in death by husband Frank T.; daughter Carole Silver; grandson Brad Banko; great-grandson Henry Hartell; sister Genivieve Hemkin; and brother Stanley Buynoski.
Victoria is survived by daughter, Francie Chambers; son, Frank Banko; granddaughter, Holly Hartell; grandson, Gabriel Silver; great-granddaughters, Nellie and Katy Hartell and brother George Buynoski.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday from the Bednarski Funeral Home, Wyoming, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Sorrows Church, West Wyoming.
Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.
Friends may call at 8:30 a.m. Friday until the time of service at the funeral home.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Lorraine and Harold Bartholomew for all the help and kindness they have shown their mother during the last few years.
