John Michael Stewart, 28, of Clover Street, South Bend, Ind., died on Monday morning, Sept. 18, after an accident in his home.
John was born on May 4, 1972, in South Bend and had lived in South Bend all his life. John was employed by Momper Insualation for eight years. John attended Christ the King grade school, was a graduate of Penn High School, class of 1990, and attended Holy Cross College, Notre Dame, Ind.
He is survived by his daughters, Megan and Molly, his parents, Jerry B. and Sharon E. (Glossinger) Stewart of Wellington, Fla,; his maternal grandmother, Barbara Glossinger of Hombsassa, Fla., and by John's sister, Laurie Stewart of Wellington.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday in Christ the King Catholic Church (Darden and 933). Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
Friends may call from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the Hickey Funeral Home, 17131 Cleveland Road, where a prayer service will be said at 7 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, or to the Megan and Molly Scholarship Fund.
