Ruth was born May 8, 1932, in Chesterfield. She was a homemaker, loved children and taught Sunday school and junior church for many years, and was highly involved in her church choir at Eastview Church of the Nazarene.
On May 27, 1950, in Anderson, Ruth married . . ., who survives, along with three sons, . . . a brother, . . . three stepsisters, . . . 11 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David Washington and Bertha (Hasty) De Witt; and brother and sister.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Eastview Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Tom Chapman officiating with burial in East Maplewood Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be given to Eastview Church of the Nazarene.
