Herd Rites To Be Held Today – Services for J.M. Herd, __ years old, who died at his home, __5 Classen boulevard Wednesday morning, will be conducted at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon in Harding Memorial hall in the Masonic temple by the Consistory of Guthrie, and at the home at 3 o'clock by Rev. E.C. Mobley, pastor of the First Christian church. He is survived by his wife, a son, R.R. Herd, and a daughter, Mrs. B.H. Wertz, all of Oklahoma City. Burial will be in Memorial park under direction of Marshall & Harper funeral home.

Herd, 72 years old, who passed away at his home, 2728 Classen Blvd., Wednesday morning, will be held at Harding Memorial Hall in the Masonic temple Thursday afternoon at _ o'clock, conducted by the Consistory of Guthrie, Okla. Services will be conducted at the home at 3 o'clock by Dr. E.C. Mobley. Mr. Herd was a member of the First Christian church, Oklahoma City, and a member of the Blue Lodge and Consistory of Guthrie,Okla. He is survived by his wife and one son, R.R. Herd of Oklahoma City, one daughter, Mrs. R.B. Wertz, Oklahoma City; two sisters, Mrs. A.F. Tarplex, Pollock, La., Mrs. Ola Mespigs, Tulsa, Okla., and six brothers, M.J. Herd, Broken Arrow, A.J. Herd, Chandler; R.M. Herd and J.B. Herd of Isabelle, Mo., D.D. Herd of Claremore, and Fred O. Herd of Tulsa, Okla. Burial in Memorial park under direction of Marshall & Harper.
