Passed away Saturday afternoon Sept. 22, 1973, at her home. Age 80 years. Carrie N. Sly was born June 30, 1893, at Ingersoll Township and was married to Herman Franklin Oct. 9, 1911. He passed away Jan. 19, 1957. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Poseyville, also of the W.S.C.S., the Country Cousins and the Home Economics Club. Surviving are one daughter and two sons, Mrs. Lois Baker, Lloyd and Clare Franklin, all of Ingersoll Township; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother and two sisters, Ira Sly and Mrs. Myrtle Bartlett and Mrs. Nellie Franklin, all of Ingersoll.
Funeral service will take place 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Taylor Funeral Home in Freeland. Rev. Robert Moore will officiate with burial in Poseyville Cemetery.
