Riley Fred Gallimore, 93, of Oakwood Boulevard, died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006, at Thomasville Medical Center after an extended illness.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel by the Rev. Charles Dickens. Interment will be in Tom's Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Gallimore was born Nov. 1, 1913, in Davidson County to Chandler J. and Lou V. Lanier Gallimore. He was retired from Gas Pipeline Construction Co. and was of the Primitive Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Clyde Gallimore.

Surviving are his wife, Betty Rose Hunt Gallimore of the home; two sons, Steve Gallimore and his wife, Bonnie, of Arcadia and Paul Yates and his wife, Dean, of Denton; three daughters, Fran Gallimore Robbins and her significant other, Dale Floyd, of Lexington, Claudette Bevan and her husband, Frank, of Thomasville, and Greta Grubb and her husband, Evan, of Lexington; two stepdaughters, Carolyn Money and her husband, Jimmy, of Advance and Paulette Moorefield and her husband, Steve, of Holly Springs; 13 grandchildren, Heidi Robbins Wright and her husband, Tim, Chasity Robbins, Rodney Gallimore, Ricky Deaton and his wife, Brenda, Jeffery Deaton and his wife, Silvia, Laura Grimmitt, Gloria Marion, Timothy Grubb, Mark Gallimore and his wife, Linda, Allen Gallimore and his wife, Gina, Todd Yates and his significant other, Leigh, Ston Yates and Gary Yates; seven stepgrandchildren, Jeffery Snyder and his wife, Tracy, Tracy Snyder and his wife, Connie, Kenny Manning and his wife, Mary Kathryn, Donnie Manning and his wife, Karrie, Angie York and her husband, Dennis, Scott Money and Eric Money; 19 great-grandchildren; eight stepgreat-grandchildren; and a very special niece, Doris Henderson.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 Wednesday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence.
