Funeral services for Jarvis Glen (J.G.) Baten will be held Sunday October 10, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Beech Springs Baptist Church in Minden. Officiating will be Rev. Ronnie Whitlock. Interment will follow at Antioch Cemetery on Hwy 80 in Dixie Inn. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Saturday October 9, 2010 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.

Glen was born June 8, 1911 in Natchitoches and entered into rest October 7, 2010 in Shreveport.

Left to cherish his memory are his children; Tom O. Baten and wife Sylvia of Dallas, TX, Jack K. Baten of Minden, daughters Barbara Baten Rudd and husband Max of Bossier City, Janet Baten Richardson and husband Gene of Tishomingo, OK, Judy Baten French and husband Clyde of Shreveport, brother Robert Baten and wife Anita of Shreveport, seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their special thanks to the employees of Garden Park, Dr. Wen Lui, and the employees of Promise Rehabilitation Hospital in Shreveport.

Memorials can be made to Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
