Clarence J. Rice, 60, 17-624 W. 22nd St., died at 9 o'clock this morning at St. John's Hospital after a six-month illness. the son of Conrad and Elizabeth Rice, he was born in Anderson, Sept. 9, 1910. a retired employee of the Anderson Tool and Engineering Co., he had also been employed for 20 years at Delco-Remy Division. His wife, the former Enid Rosenfield died April 13, 1970. Surviving are two children, Mrs. Bill (Kay) Campbell of Warrington and Rex Rice of Rt. 1, Middletown; two sisters, Kate Condon and Edna Tunully (sp?) of Anderson; two brothers, John and Wayne Rice of Anderson; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the Harold E. Rozelle Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Pendleton in the Friends Cemetery.
