Mrs. Betty Mae Dyer, 81, of Rt. 3, Mt. Vernon, died Friday, November 16, 1979 at the Berea Hospital after a long illness.
She was born on June 30, 1898 in Rockcastle County, the daughter of the late Jeff and Jane Rash Madden. She was a member of the negro Hill Community Church.
survivors are: two brother, Rob Madden of Rt. 3, Mt. Vernon and Ed Madden of Rt. 3, Berea; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Dyer.
Funeral services were held Sunday, November 18 at the Cox Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Pete Hurd. Burial was in the Elmwood Cemetery.
Arrangements were by the Cox Funeral Home.
