Isaac Jefferson Webb, Jr., born July 26, 1919, passed away February 6, 2005. He was a native of Bluefield, West Virginia and had been a Williamsburg resident since 1951.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Margaret Clark Webb, his son Isaac Jefferson Webb III, and his wife Anne Bailey Webb of Kingsport TN; his daughter Mary Webb Johnston and her husband Kenneth M. Johnston of Williamsburg, Va, and his grandsons, Matthew Poteate, Eric Johnston, Adam Webb and Clark Webb. Also surviving are his sisters, Mary W. Spangler of Pearisburg, Va., and Helen W. Allen of Pleasant Garden, N. C.
His parents, Edna Gardner and Isaac J. Webb, Sr., also brother Tipton Vernon Webb, preceded him in death.
Mr. Webb served in the Royal Canadian Air Force and the United States Army Air Force as a Link Trainer Operator Instructor during WWII. He retired from Civil Service Communications at Ft. Eustis.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Nelson Funeral Home. Interment services will be private."
