IRWIN N. ALBERTS

Irwin N. Alberts, 85, a resident of North Ridge Care Center, Manitowoc, formerly of 815 Revere Dr., Manitowoc, died Thursday morning, Nov. 8, at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Redeemer Lutheran Church. The Rev. Richard C. Miller will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Alberts was born March 22, 1899, in the Township of Carlton, Kewaunee County, son of the late Edwin and Lena Alberts. He grew up and was educated in Township of Carlton. He married Dorothy Tegge Nov. 24, 1931, at Rockford, Ill. She preceded him in death Nov. 7, 1971. After his marriage the couple resided in Green Bay and Two Rivers before coming to Manitowoc in 1935. Mr. Alberts was employed at Manitowoc Engineering Company from 1941 to his retirement in 1964. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a son, Harold Alberts of Arnold, Maryland; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Pfeffer and Reinbold Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 6 o'clock to 8 o'clock this Friday evening and Saturday until 11 a.m. and then at the church from noon until the time of services.
