Richard McGuire, my Uncle Dick, grew up in Dexter, Kansas. He served in WWI, Kansas Pvt Co M 140 Infantry, World War I PH .
He was severely wounded during the war, which would affect him for the rest of his life.

Richards's first wife was Stella Nellis. They had one son, Donald McGuire.

Richard married Mary Rebecca Luncenda Ashbill in 1937 in Arizona. They had one son, Richard Lofton McGuire.

The wound Uncle Dick received in WWI was to affect him so much, he spent his life just wondering. Uncle Dick would come by every so often to visit. He seemed to feel at home with us. Uncle Dick was in the Veterans Hospital in Boise, ID when he died. They called my mother, being listed as the next of kin. We do miss him.
