Susie L. Anderson, 87, died Friday, Jan. 14, 2005, after an extended illness. The Pierce County native had lived in Wayne County most of her life. She was a member of Screven First Baptist Church.

She was predeceased by her husband, Earl Anderson and a daughter, Vannie Sue Hickox.

Survivors are a daughter and son-in-law, Lanier and Russell Lee of Waycross; a son and daughter-in-law, Rufus O. and Barbara Anderson of Screven; a brother, Joe H. Chancey of Savannah; three grandchildren, Rachel Boyette, Orrin Anderson and Brady Hickox; a great-grandson, Gage Hickox; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. today (Sunday) at the Rinehart & Sons Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Ron Wilcox and the Rev. Randy DeLoach officiating. Interment will be in Screven City Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Bud Collins, Randy Rozier, Franlin Denison, John Henry Harris, Larry Barnes and Barry Barnes. Visitation was 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Rinehart & Sons Funeral Home of Jesup is in charge of arrangements.
