William B. "Bud" Allen, my great-grandfather, was a first cousin of President Lyndon Baines Johnson. He was the son of James Madison "Jim" Allen and Mary Elizabeth Bunton Allen; grandson of Miles Allen born Alabama and his wife Mary, and Robert Holmes Bunton born South Carolina and Priscilla Jane McIntosh, (married in 1803), the third-great-grandparents of President Lyndon Baines Johnson. William married Patsy Minerva Henderson on Dec. 25, 1879 in Texas. Their children were Arty Allen, Mary Elizabeth Allen Kennemer, *Martha Ellen "Mattie" Allen Burks, James Archibald "Jim" Allen, John Samuel Allen, Joseph Allen and William B. Allen, Jr. His siblings were sister J. F., brother b. 1860 Cass Co., TX, Molly (Henderson) and Barnie/Barney Allen.
