He is next noted in the 1930 census, Hardin Co. as a 13 yr old male with his parents, siblings Pearl (Rirl) and brother Gilbert. The family lived next door to his sister, Nannie and her spouse and children so he lived and most likely played alongside his cousins. And then in the 1940 census, Owen is noted as the head of household with his wife 'Evyline', their daughter Cynthia and his mother Bettie who is listed now as 'widowed'. His sister Pearl is noted buried in this same cemetery.
