Daughter of Jacob Miller and his wife, Anna Mariah Efaw. Cora married Charles Danielson on 26 March 1891 in Monmouth, Illinois, with daughter Florence and son Fred Earl Danielson born to the marriage.

Cora then married Thomas Sharp Barton in Monmouth on 22 December 1897. He was the widower of Augie Elizabeth Winter, and the father of five children of his first marriage. Together, Cora and Thomas were the parents of 4 children, including sons Schley Wellington and Leroy Edward Barton, and daughters Dorothy Mariah and Lenora Mays Barton. Thomas, a Civil War veteran, died in Hutchinson, Kansas but was buried with his first wife and a daughter of that marriage in Monmouth.

Cora then married Albert W. Bowen. Her obituary and funeral notices state Albert died in 1948. She was also preceded in death by her son, Fred Earl Danielson, in 1921.

Cora was survived by three daughters, Mrs. John (Lenora Barton) Lees, of Hutchinson, Kansas; Mrs. Vernon (Dorothy Barton) Mosher, of Lyons, Kansas; and Mrs. Loren (Florence Danielson) Rockwell, of Washington, D.C.; two sons, Sly Barton of Hutchinson, Kansas; and Roy Barton, of Santa Paula, California; 15 granchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
