Served as Sheriff of Wichita Falls, Texas. R. L. "Pete" Randolph was elected on 11/8/1910; re-elected 11/5/1912 and served until 11/3/1914. Family history says he was 4' 11" and a fearless lawman.

R L "Pete" Randolph, first constable of Precinct No 2, Young county died at the Wichita Falls hospital Saturday night and was buried Sunday afternoon.

The 76 year old peace officer was fatally injured in an accident last Wednesday night.

Mr Randolph was constable of this precinct prior to 1890 and participated in several dramatic incidents before moving to Wichita Falls. "Pete" subsequently became constable and sheriff of Wichita county.

The peace officer moved to Young county from Tennessee in 1877 and leaves a sister Mrs J C Casburn of Graham; two daughters, Mrs W P Wyatt of Wichita Falls and Mrs Lawrence Lovelace of Iowa Park; and two bothers, Les Randolph of Graham, Oklahoma and Gus Randolph of Ardmore, Okla.

Services Sunday were held from the parish house of the Church of the Good Shepherd, with the Rev E S Lawrance, pastor of the Iowa Park Presbyterian church, officiating. Burial was made in Riverside Cemetery.
