Funeral services will be held today at 3 p.m. from Pearl River Avenue Methodist church for Mrs. Sophia Allen, 80, with the Rev. J. F. Campbell, the Rev. Jack Moore and the Rev. Earl Edwards officiating.
Born in Franklin county, she had lived in McComb 28 years. Mrs. Allen died at her home Thursday night after a long illness.
She leaves three daughters, Mrs. Willie Martin, Mrs. Earl Gronstrom and Miss Mary Allen; four sons, L. E., B. F., J. B., Jr., and Virgil Allen, all of McComb; a sister, Mrs. Owen McDonald, Conhatta, Miss., and a brother, the Rev. W. T. Woodard, Island, La. Burial will be in Hollywood cemetery, McComb.
