E. P. Bean Dies in Los Angeles at Son's Home 


E. P. Bean, a well known former resident of Richfield who passed away at the home of a son in California, was laid to rest in the Salt Lake City cemetery Monday, under direction of the Joseph Willam Taylor mortuary, with special services at the graveside at 11:30 a. m.


Mr. Bean was born in Provo, June 13, 1859, a son of George W. and Elizabeth Baum Bean. In 1873 he came with the family to Richfield. He was owner and manager of one of the early mercantile businesses in Richfield and operated one of the first sawmills in this section. He was at one time a member of the Richfield city council. Mr. Bean married Ina F. Hunt April 18, 1880.


Surviving Mr. Bean are his widow, and the following sons and daughters: Ray E. Golden, Othello Bean, and Mrs. Klea Haynie of Los Angeles and Mrs. George Anson of Salt Lake, eight grandchildren survive.


Funeral services were held in the Los Angeles Adams ward chapel Sunday.
